Children s self-esteem is the mental basis. A confident child is confident, secure, happy, well adjusted and successful. Reason can solve problems that come your way, and thrives in a loving protective mother.
What are good ways to build self-esteem in children?
The key to accept the child for who they are and help them to do the same. Teach your child that nobody is perfect and everyone makes mistakes. Show them how to learn and grow from your mistakes and let them know that you can make mistakes. The high esteem in children lessons from the mistakes and can apply them on the road. A child with low self-esteem from being frustrated and resort to a self-deprecating behavior, like when you stupid , and promising that ever, try again.
Help your child discover the talents and skills, and encourage outlets for them to build and improve. Praise your child is not only the development of skills and competencies, but also the fact that they naturally possess.
Encourage your child to a positive decision. Open an honest dialogue with your child and discuss options with them. Children learn skills such as positive selection age, when they are well prepared for the difficult decisions when they are older.
Be sure to spend much time with your child at least once a week. If you play basketball or go out to grab a burger, take time to talk and keep in touch. If you push hard in quality time during a busy week take time to talk about things during the drive to school or you will help put the food.
